The best value angle is Over 2.5 at 2.25. Not a max bet. Just the cleanest price vs what the game shape suggests.

Over 2.5 is sitting there because Auxerre don’t score much (0.7 GPG), so the market assumes they’ll keep it tight and hope for scraps. Fair. But Lorient games aren’t exactly controlled chess either: they score 1.4 and concede 1.6. That’s a lot of “something happens” at both ends.

The combined average across these sides is about 2.6 goals a game. That’s not a huge margin, but 2.25 implies you’re getting paid like it’s a low-scoring slog. If Auxerre’s keeper situation is weaker than usual, one Lorient goal can open the whole thing up.
