The Value
The combined scoring profile sits around 2.6 goals per game, and that’s the big tell. Girona are conceding 1.6 a game and they’re not exactly locking games down when they get put under pressure. Athletic are at 1.4 conceded too, so neither side screams “unders grind”.
Girona’s attack is only 1.0 GPG, so you’re not betting them to rack up three on their own. You’re betting on a normal game state: a goal at one end forces the other side to open up, and suddenly you’ve got transitions and set-piece chances stacking up.
At 2.00, you don’t need a perfect shootout. You just need this game to avoid the classic 0-0/1-0 snoozer. And the numbers say that’s more likely than the price implies.

The match winner market is messy. Athletic at 2.70 shows an edge in the model, but it’s tagged low confidence for a reason. Girona and Athletic have split the last 10 H2H 4-4 with a couple of draws, so there’s no dominance angle to hang your hat on.
