Cagliari losing Pavoletti and Luvumbo hurts. That’s a chunk of their threat gone, and it matters when you’re trying to land punches against a top-five defence.
Best value: Como win @ 1.72. Not a smash-and-grab best bet, but it’s the cleanest angle on the board.
The Value
Como at 1.72 is the price I can live with. They’re 5th, they concede just 0.7 a game, and their form reads like a side that doesn’t beat itself (WWDLD). Cagliari are 13th with a DDLLW run and they’re only scoring 1.1 per match. If you’re backing the home side here, you’re basically betting on chaos or a Como off-day.
The model edge is chunky, but I’m still calling it “value” not “conviction” because the draw has teeth. Each side sits around a 33% draw profile and the last seven H2Hs are split: 2-3-2 with three stalemates.
Why Como Gets It Done
It’s the balance. Como score 1.6 per game and don’t give up much at both ends. Even with Diao and Van der Brempt out, they’ve been hard to open up. Cagliari also miss Radunovic, which isn’t ideal if you’re already under pressure for long spells.
If Como control territory and keep Cagliari stuck defending, you’re relying on scraps for the hosts. Without Pavoletti as a bailout option and Luvumbo’s pace to stretch, those scraps dry up fast.
Market Read
Over 2.5 at 1.98 is a lean only. The combined average is 2.4 goals, so you’re basically paying for a “maybe”. If you want a saver, the draw at 4.00 is the cheeky roughie, but I’d rather stick to the main edge and move on.
