The Value
Overs at 2.43 is a price that says “tight, cagey, low event”. I’m not sure that’s the right read. Valencia are conceding 1.5 a game and they’ve been leaking big moments late in halves. Alavés aren’t exactly free-scoring (0.9 GPG), but they do enough to nick one when the other side switches off.
Combined average sits around 2.4 goals per game, so we’re not pretending this is a goal-fest league. But that’s exactly why 2.43 is attractive: you don’t need a shootout, you just need a 2-1 either way, or the classic 1-1 that opens up late.
